Public Assets is the web site of Tom Tresser, Public Defender. We are part of a new coalition, The Illinois Coalition to Protect the Public Commons, a growing coalition of activists and community organizers who all have one thing in common – fighting privatization, protecting the commons and fighting for public services. We are seeking to make common cause with all Public Defenders in order to stop the pawning of Illinois and America to the lowest bidders.
